A fun project if you have a little time and the right tools; ie a drill press. A steady hand and a small dremel tool could do the trick as well.
My personal record on solving the rubiks is 1 minute and 32 seconds. That was years ago but I can still get it done in about 5 minutes or so.
The latest puzzle I have been working on is the
K-Ball. I gotta tell you, it's kicking my butt.
What OpenOffice is for Windows, NeoOffice is for the Mac. it can work with Microsoft Office files and even better, it's completely free. You can't go wrong with this. Why spend the big bucks! Version 2.2.1 has just been released today. Unfortunately it doesn't help me much.
Now this is a great project that let's you replace a snooze button with a "shock" function on your alarm clock. In short, you can hit/shake your alarm clock anywhere and snooze will engage.
This project is not for beginners and is meant for people with good soldering skills and some knowledge of electronics. I say, with a little practice, anyone can do it. Enjoy!

The guys over at Engadget teamed up with some buddy's at www.iphonesimfree.com to prove that the iPhone can be cracked and by-george they have done it. Successfully using a T-Mobile sim card on their iPhone using a software hack. Good bye AT&T! A video is included. http://www.engadget.com/2007/08/24/iphone-unlocked-atandt-loses-iphone-exclusivity-august-24-2007/
A Russian man likes to spend his time taking apart cell phones and making new cases for them out of apple tree wood. Now this just looks too cool. You have to wonder how much time it takes to make each one. As you can see, everything is wood. The antenna, battery and sim card are all encased in wood. Someone seriously needs to slap a geek sticker on this mans forehead. I say good job to you sir! http://mig-telecom.ru/a/
