Is it a Kindle killer? The Cybook offers support for Mobipocket PRC, PalmDoc, HTML, TXT, PDF. However there did seem to be a problem with PDF files as read in this article. Which is a shame because 90% of the reading I do is in PDF format. The unit costs $350 and for an extra $100 you can get a leather case, USB charger, earphones and a 2GB SD card. Until they fix this PDF issue I won't be buying one, but it is good to see some competition for the Kindle.

Bluescreen cycles between different Blue Screens and simulated boots every 15 seconds or so. Virtually all the information shown on Bluescreen's BSOD and system start screen is obtained from your system configuration - its accuracy will fool even advanced NT developers. For example, the NT build number, processor revision, loaded drivers and addresses, disk drive characteristics, and memory size are all taken from the system Bluescreen is running on.

]]>A few months after its highly successful release of Windows 95, Microsoft releases Bob, a suite of user-friendly programs intended to work with Windows 95. Bob's cartoonish appearance and pseudo-friendliness become the worst flop in Microsoft's history. The company reportedly destroys all copies of the software and attempts to erase the entire episode from its public record.
